Husky thoughts: Favorite seasons

It’s the last week of March and the second week of spring for 2022. In light of this occasion, we traveled around McNair asking students, “What’s your favorite season, and why?” Here is what they had to say:

“I love winter because I get to go skiing. I like the cold and the snow–it’s a nice tone–and I like sitting by the fire drinking hot drinks. I hate being hot, heat is horrible!”

—Nicole McGinn, second-year Sustainable Bio-Products student

“I love winter because I like skiing at Mt. Ripley.”

—Colin Lundberg, first-year Mechanical Engineering student

“Probably winter because I love snowboarding. But, if you’d asked me in the fall, I’d say fall because I love mountain biking.”

—Zach Schnell, first-year Management Informations student

“I like the fall best: it’s not too hot, not too cold. Sports are starting up, too, which is fun to watch.”

—Dylan Diaz, first-year Software Engineering student

“Winter is, but only in Houghton because if there isn’t, like, three feet of snow it’s not worth it! Not downstate winter, you know?”

—Michele Reinke, second-year Civil Engineering student
