End-of-semester concert with Superior Wind Symphony and Campus Concert Band

The Visual and Performing Arts Department presents the annual end-of-semester concert, Celebrations! featuring the Superior Wind Symphony and Campus Concert Band on Friday, Apr. 10, at 7:30 p.m. at the Rozsa Center. The run time is approximately 90 minutes, with an intermission. The concert features music of joy, triumph, and celebration.

Dr. Joel Neves, Music Director of the Superior Wind Symphony, will be conducting the Superior Wind Symphony, which will be playing “Pictures at an Exhibition” by M. Moussorgsky and “Star Wars Trilogy” by John Williams. Meanwhile, Jana Meckler, an instructor at Tech and Hancock High School, will be conducting the Campus Concert Band, which will be playing “Joy Revisited” by Frank Ticheli, “Chorale and Shaker Dance II” by John Zdechlik, “Folk Song Suite for Military Band” by R. Vaughan Williams, and “Flourish for Wind Band” by Ralph Vaughan Williams. Combined, they will be playing “Celebrations” by John Zdechlik and “In Living Color” by Katahj Copley.

Student rush tickets will be available. Request your ticket from the Rozsa Box Office in advance. Seating is general admission, so arrive early to get your seat. Seating begins a half hour before the event start time. The Rozsa Lobby is open 8 a.m to 8 p.m. on Mondays through Fridays and 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturdays.
