Hello Huskies! We hope you had a great winter break. As the spring semester kicks into full gear, The Lode says hello to our new editorial staff and writers. This will be my final paper as Editor-in-Chief, as my assistant editor, Skylar, will be taking over going forward. The Lode has continued to evolve since the COVID pandemic six years ago, and I am excited to see where Skylar takes it in the next few years.
I would also like to thank our existing writing staff from last semester for their hard work, as well as our former Treasurer Ethan Plummer, Layout Editor Liam Houston, Media Editor Tim Peters, and Student Life Section Editor Ford Schoonover. The Lode would not have been successful without your help.
As students return with a clean slate this semester, I encourage you to join The Lode and help us produce more impactful, informative, and high-quality content. Our weekly meetings are in the writing center every Monday at 6:00 pm. I hope to see you there!
