With Michigan Tech’s hockey season starting up for the season, Zamboni rides are making a return for this year. Anyone interested in having their name come up on the Jumbotron or riding the Zamboni during a hockey match has the opportunity to. Announcements on the Jumbotron will happen during the second intermission, and Zamboni rides are offered during both the first and second intermissions. Both of these things are great opportunities to get recognized and have a little extra fun at a game.
For anyone who is interested in having their birthday or anniversary come up on the Jumbotron, you must pay $10 and submit a form by 5 p.m. on the Wednesday before the home game you are attending.
If you’re willing to spend a little more money, for $20, you can ride the Zamboni. There are some rules associated with this as well. You must be at least 12 years old, the rider must have game day tickets to the game they want to experience the Zamboni ride on, a helmet must be worn, a waiver must be filled out, and submissions must be completed by 5 p.m. on the Wednesday before the home game you are attending. Spots are limited, so if interested, complete the submission in advance.
For more information, or if you are looking to sign up for one of these things, you can either call (906)-487-2073 or go to the website mtu.universitytickets.com. Get on this early, as spots do fill up.
