What are you listening to?

Nadia Stauffer, Environmental Engineer, 5th year, Grand Rapids, MI. “Lately, I have been revisiting my high school favorite artists, a favorite being Sammy Rae & Friends. My friend Claire introduced me to them and I love that it reminds me of her every time I listen. They are jazzy, vibrant, and feel like the kind of music you want to listen to while you make breakfast, ride your bike in the sun, or just groove along with any time of the day. I guarantee it’ll make you tap your foot or brighten your mood at the very least. My favorite songs by them are Whatever We Feel, Talk it Up, or The Feeling. Give them a listen and let me know what you think!”

Joey Krzysiak, 3rd year, Saint Clair, MI, Mechanical Engineer. “I’ve been listening to the song Boons by Zach Bryan. I like the song because of the lyrics and the guitar.”

Trino Censoplano, 3rd year, Civil Engineer, from Shelby Township, MI. “A song I like is Carefree Highway by Gordon Lightfoot. I like how the song makes me feel like I’m a plastic bag drifting through the wind.”

Eli Milanowski, 4th year, Sustainability Science & Society, from Grand Rapids, MI. “Recently I’ve been enjoying What I’m Here 4 by Gang Starr. They have a good rhythmic mellow flow.”

Ellie Helman, 5th year, Environmental Engineer, from Houghton, MI. “I have been listening to Let Me by Tommy Lefroy. The song was written and produced by my friend Wynter and her bandmate Tessa. Their songwriting has a lot of depth and layers to it, yet makes it feel very relatable to the listener. I also like how they produce vocals and layer harmonies.”
