  • Hammock on campus
  • Walk around campus trails
  • Go for a hike to the waterfalls
  • Play outside games such as disc golf, ultimate frisbee, or Spikeball

  • Go out to Breaker’s Beach to have a fire and see the stars, or the northern lights if you’re lucky
  • Shop around the local stores
  • Go for a cruise up and down the curvy roads of Copper Harbor

The Keweenaw Peninsula offers plenty of ways to unplug and enjoy nature. Grab a book and settle into a hammock on campus, or enjoy a stroll along the scenic campus trails. If you’re looking for more adventure, hike to one of the many beautiful waterfalls in the area, or head up to Breakers Beach for a bonfire under the stars – if you’re lucky, you might even catch the Northern Lights. You can also play games like disc golf or ultimate frisbee with friends, or join a club like the Canoeing Club or the Auto Enthusiasts group. For a more laid-back adventure, cruise the winding roads up to Copper Harbor and explore the local shops. Don’t forget to take a break and capture the beauty of the outdoors through photography, and leave your screens behind.
