Michigan Tech Football 2024 schedule

In their 102nd season, the Huskies’ football schedule begins with four non-conference matchups, before moving into seven intense battles within the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) for conference play. 

Continuing the season, the MTU Huskies embark on a journey to face nationally ranked Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) competitor Bemidji State on Thursday, Aug. 29,  the Huskies aim to set the tone for the season ahead. The Huskies then return home for their home opener on Thursday, Sep. 5, where the team will host the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) affiliate South Dakota Mines in what promises to be an exhilarating showdown at Kearly Stadium. 

Continuing the non-conference play, Michigan Tech will clash with Hillsdale on Saturday, Sep. 14. The Huskies then hit the road again to face University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh on Saturday, Sep. 21, before enjoying a well-deserved break in week four. 

League play kicks off in the fifth week with two home weekends in a row: first welcoming Wayne State to Kearly Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 5, followed by a matchup against Davenport on Saturday, Oct. 12. Week seven sees the Huskies leaving for Ferris State on Saturday, Oct. 19 to face off against their nationally known team. 

Returning home for week eight, Michigan Tech will fight for the coveted Miner’s Cup against Northern Michigan on Saturday, Oct. 26, aiming to extend their impressive 14-year win streak. Week nine will see the Huskies traveling to Chicago to face off against GLIAC newcomer Roosevelt University on Saturday, Nov. 2. The final home game will take place in the tenth week  as Michigan Tech welcomes another nationally recognized team, Grand Valley State, on Saturday, Nov. 9. To wrap up this year’s match cycle, the Huskies will travel to Saginaw Valley State on Saturday, Nov. 16 for a thrilling conclusion to the season.
