Students enjoy vintage atmosphere and good times at MUB Masquerade Ball

Attendees enjoy the Masquerade Ball

Formal dresses and sharp suits had their moment as students stepped into a night of elegance at the MUB Masquerade Ball on Friday, Mar. 14. With masks and glow sticks at the entrance, a dance floor, a photo booth, and a DJ playing crowd-favorite songs, the event gave attendees a chance to break from routine and enjoy the moment.

The ballroom was set up for the occasion, with black, white, and gold balloons decorating the tables. The glow of party lights and the sound of music from the DJ booth set the tone as students made their way to the dance floor.

Requests poured in for songs, but nothing got the crowd moving like the “Cha-Cha Slide” and the “Wobble.” As soon as the beats dropped, nearly everyone joined in. Arika Booms, one of the students at the event, took the lead and encouraged others to follow along. “You just dance and feel the music,” she said.

For refreshments, guests were treated to sparkling peach punch, adding a refreshing touch to the lively evening. A photo booth was also available for students to capture memories. Instead of printed copies, attendees could scan QR codes to access digital images.

Several students said they enjoyed the event, though some had suggestions for future Improvements. “I think this is fun,” said Kimberly Proctor, a student at the event. “It would be nice if they had games.” The event drew 31 attendees, and the energy on the dance floor made it clear the night was a success.
