99 Striped Balloons – upcoming Huskies Pep Band concert

Prepare for an unforgettable evening as the Huskies Pep Band celebrates the Rozsa Center’s 25th anniversary with their electrifying concert, “99 Striped Balloons”, on Thursday, Mar. 13, at 7:30 p.m.

This energetic concert is guaranteed to make your heart race in your seat. The Rozsa Center describes it as “loud music reaching high decibel levels.” The Pep Band will perform music by Chicago and other rock classics. This event is guaranteed to be an atmosphere filled with laughter and excitement, perfect for students, alumni, and community members.

For many students, the Pep Band represents the heart of Husky pride, and this concert is sure to highlight that. Known for their enthusiasm and unmistakable black-and-gold striped overalls, the MTU Pep Band is a staple at university events, bringing life to sporting games, parades, and campus celebrations. This concert offers a chance to see them in a more structured, yet still wildly fun, performance setting. Titus Lind, a member of the Pep Band, says “The whole band will be there playing while most events are about a third of the band.”

The Pep Band will keep you entertained the whole time, not only with music. “Pep Band concerts are fun, not only for the exciting music but also for the funny skits and shenanigans that happen throughout,” says Julian Arens, Pep Band musician. These unusual performances are what make Pep Band concerts a must-see event every year.

Tickets for this event are available on a “Pay As You’re Able” basis, with a suggested full fee of ten dollars. This pricing model ensures everyone has a chance to experience it. Michigan Tech students can reserve their spots online in advance or use walk-up tickets on the day of the event. Seating is limited, so early arrival is recommended to secure spots.

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to witness the Huskies Pep Band in a full concert setting as they honor a significant milestone in Michigan Tech’s history. It’s an evening guaranteed to be filled with music, memories, and striking Husky pride.
