Rozsa Center prepares for 25th anniversary

Although the Rozsa team is still finalizing exact dates and details to celebrate its 25th anniversary, they have confirmed that the annual soirée and a special gala will be key components of the anniversary celebrations.

Grayson Dunham, assistant production manager at the Rozsa Center, said planning remains in its early stages.

“We don’t have anything set in stone yet, but we know the Rozsa Soirée will take place in the fall, as it does each year. We are also planning a 25th-anniversary gala at some point during the year, though the date is still to be determined”.

The Rozsa Soirée, a public event typically held in late September or early October, features a night of live performances, a formal dinner, and a wine-sampling event. Guests vote on their favorite wines, which the Rozsa later features at concessions during the upcoming season.

For the gala, the Rozsa team is exploring potential dates ranging from summer to fall. Dunham emphasized that staple performances, including Keweenaw Symphony Orchestra (KSO) concerts, Backstage Jazz events, and other school-affiliated events, will remain a core part of Rozsa’s programming throughout the year. These recurring performances align with the university’s academic calendar, with the season running from September to May.

While the exact lineup for the upcoming season is unavailable, Dunham encouraged community members to watch for the season announcement in the fall. For more information and updates, visit the Rozsa Center website or contact the box office.
