The article Blizzard celebrates their 28th birthday with MTU residents has been retracted due to mischaracterizations about how the event was planned. Student Leadership and Involvement (SLI) and MUB Board were planning a birthday event simultaneously with MTU Residential Living’s event. Residential Living had run a similar event in 2024 and was farther along in preparations, so SLI dropped their event. Both SLI and MUB Board were invited to collaborate with the remaining event. MUB Board was able to collaborate with Residential Living on their event, and SLI was not due to the large number of events they host in January. The article is being redacted because neither MTU Residential Living, MUB Board, nor SLI were reached out to for comment.
