To celebrate our beloved mascot Blizzard T. Husky’s 28th birthday, on Friday, Jan. 31, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., a Birthday Bash event will be held by MTU Residential Living in the Wadsworth Hall Campus Cafe and Annex. Students will be able to participate in games, enjoy several mocktails and treats, take pictures in a photo booth, and have a chance to win a free ice cream cake in a raffle. Participating in various activities and attending information booths at this event will grant students raffle tickets to win an ice cream cake. All students wishing to partake in the raffle must be present to be eligible to win.
The location of Blizzard’s 28th Birthday Bash was relocated from its original location in the MUB Commons to the Wadsworth Hall Campus Cafe and Annex. Although MTU Residential Living is currently hosting this event, it was originally planned by Student Leadership and Involvement (SLI) and MUB Board. Many of the current events are the same as the canceled event, but SLI originally planned to have students craft their own dog tag and donate items to the Copper Country Humane Society (CCHS). The event planned by SLI and MUB Board was canceled and has since been re-planned.
