The MUB Board will be hosting a Casino Night on Saturday, Nov. 16, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. in the MUB Ballroom. Participants can try their luck at many casino games. The Casino Night will have a space cowboy theme; if you dress in the theme, you will get extra chips to play with.
Everyone will start with 250 chips when entering the door and an additional 100 chips if they have dressed according to the theme.
According to the Fun and Games Committee Chair, Lucas Robinson, “Some of our prizes for Casino Night will be a mini fridge, a record player, a large Mario Lego set, Beats headphones, a Michigan Tech hockey jersey, and more.” The prizes will have a new format this year instead of the standard raffle to try and have a distribution over all the different years of students.
Casino Night will have some of the classic games that you can find at a casino, such as poker, blackjack, roulette, and craps. They will also be serving mocktails.
As the excitement for Casino Night approaches, a future surprise is being hinted at. Robinson states, “The theme for Casino Night is to foreshadow a big future event theme that the MUB Board is hosting, so keep an eye out for that.”
