On Nov. 6, USG held their weekly meeting, presenting a forum for electoral concerns discussing transportation, and other general announcements.
The political affairs committee of USG is hosting an election round table on Nov. 21 at 7 p.m. in MUB Ballroom B. The purpose of this event is to help people understand the election process of the United States. It is not intended to be a political debate or discussion on the outcome. There will be experts at the round table to answer any questions regarding the electoral process.
The Student Affairs Committee (SAC) is working with GSG to get excused absences for students when the shuttles are canceled due to weather. This policy will most likely become a senate policy, but the joint committee is looking at other options as well.
The SACis also looking into the safety of bikes on campus. They are looking into possible solutions to bring forth to the university.
The Center for Mental Health and Well-being will be holding a Cookies & Coloring event on Nov. 15 and a Let’s Talk on Nov. 19.
Connor Din was sworn in at this meeting as USG Residential Advocate by Cole Pierucki.
A new bylaw amendment was introduced by David Reeves. Reeves proposed an amendment that would allow for public comment after the eBoard review while still including some of the new elements from the previous amendment.
